Swashbucklers is ALIIIIIIIIIVE!

The book that shouldn't really have existed, but was born out of me being unable to let go of these characters (it's a long story), is now alive and published, and officially out in the world!

There is definitely something in here for everyone. It was always meant to be a bit of fun, a Ghostbusters meets Goonies meets Stranger Things meets IT meets every 80s movie you ever saw, kind of book. And it sounds from a lot of the reviews that I hit that mark or close to it.

But at some point in the writing things took twisty turns in the enchanted forest and this story ended up being incredibly personal to me in many ways. A connection of sorts. Between me and the world, some people in it and beyond it, and the struggles we sometimes face.

So I hope that some of you with similar situations - and age brackets and parenting woes and nostalgic yearnings - find those hidden layers in between the supernatural battles. And maybe nod to yourselves and know you're not alone, I'm right there with you.

Of course, if layers aren't your thing, that's fine too. You can simply sit back and enjoy the laser-gun, console-proton-pack adventuring and the chest-bursting festive penguins!
